And finally, it would be different and unique. ![]() Second, it would reflect the partnership between the Mondavi and Rothschild families. The two luminaries struck a partnership eight years later, and agreed on a simple three-point philosophy: First, Opus One would be a classic Bordeaux-style wine. When he met Robert Mondavi in 1970, Baron Philippe knew he had his man. The Opus One story began when Baron Philippe de Rothschild (of Bordeaux First Growth Mouton Rothschild) conceived of a Bordeaux-Napa Valley project. Everyone in the company headed north on Silverado Trail to the Oakville AVA, to make our first official visit to the pristine winery that brought First Growth Bordeaux and the best of Napa Valley together: Opus One. So on a beautiful August day, the Wine Access offices in the town of Napa emptied. But realistically, we’d been looking forward to it for years. It took a lot of tenacity on my part, but City Motors did stand behind the car, when the issue got in the hands of Sharon, Pam and the service department.Technically, we’d had the appointment for about a month. Their astute diagnostic skills were also the reason the car was bought back. American Garage in Chinook provides impressive service. Pam is a rock star, as is City Motors service department who worked with American Garage in Chinook. While City Motors did not buy the car back at full price, they did pay for the service bill and approximately 70% of what I paid for the vehicle. Pam, City Motors public relations representative was a Godsend in the entire process of resolving the issue. I was advised that my vehicle would not be useful for cross country driving, which was the reason I purchased it. Unfortunately, the extended warranty outlined in the service bulletin did not apply to my vehicle because it was older than 8 years, which was the life of the extended warranty. I took it to a service shop in Chinook, where the owner had found a 34 page service bulletin regarding the motor and frequent spark plug replacement. Pam's sister Sharon, in public relations, was the reason that it was done at no charge.Īpproximately 6 months later my car was deemed not drivable. I first tried to work something out with the salesman who sold me the car, which was to no avail. I was a bit skeptic at this response.įirst off, the alternator was replaced at no charge to me. I was informed by the City Motors salesman, when I questioned the multiple owners on the CarFax, that most likely they were military personnel relocating. I have enjoyed driving it and have not had any problems/issues whatsoever with this well-designed little car. I recommend the 2012 year model Honda Civic Hybrid to all who want a well-built, safe, fun and economical car. It has a 160 watt stereo w/CD, Mp3, Blue-tooth, traction control and "econo" mode for even better gas mileage. No exterior paint issues, no CVT transmission issues and still looks and performs like new. The exterior paint and interior still look like new. gas tank and its range is 500 plus miles. It also has the longer-lasting ("10-15 yrs.") Lithium battery.įill the 13.5 gal. The 2012 Civic Hybrid has the "larger, improved 1.5 L gas engine and more powerful 17kw electric motor. It is a very quiet, smooth riding with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission.Įxcellent air-conditioning and heating, super safe with eight airbags in front. It is fun to drive, comfortable, VERY economical and gets 44-48 mpg. The first owner had all Honda dealer required maintenance/service and we both have maintained the car well. It has run perfectly, with no issues or problems whatsoever. I purchased a used/resale 2012 Civic Hybrid three years ago at 87,000 miles. ![]()
